Group Rules
Book Club Meetings
We read one book per month. Meetings are held in the Book Club voice channel in Discord; folks usually keep cameras off, but you are welcome to put your camera on if you want to.
Book Nominations
Every few months, we hold book nominations to decide which books we will be reading for the next few months. There is a pinned post with the list of books we plan to read and discuss. During book nominations, any member is welcome to pick a book for any given month. Whoever picks the book then leads the discussion for that month’s meeting. No elaborate preparation is necessary, just come with some discussion questions to help keep the conversation flowing.
Expectations
Please remember that book club a group endeavor. Not everyone can read every book, but we do respectfully ask that if you pick a book, you make every effort to read the book and attend the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting for a book you chose (thereby leaving the group without a discussion leader), we will infer than your schedule prohibits you from attending and ask that you abstain from the next cycle of book nominations.
