Lyra

Lyra, also known as aerial hoop, is a type of circus-style performance sport where a person performs acrobatics on a suspended metal ring. It combines strength, flexibility, and grace--similar to aerial silks or gymnastics--but instead of fabric, you use the hoop to spin, pose, and transition between moves in the air. You'll see it in circus shows, fitness studios, and even competitions. People practice Lyra both as an art form and a workout, since it builds core strength, upper body power, and coordination.
